Our Nursery

We are based at Cononley Institute, right in the heart of our beautiful village.  We welcome children into nursery from the age of 2, and we pride ourselves on our warm and friendly approach to education and childcare.  Children from all local villages and towns attend Stepping Stones and we have excellent links with many local primary schools, which helps to ease the transition to whichever primary school you choose.  

About Us

At Stepping Stones, your child will be given the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of fun, active, play-based activities and experiences.  All children are introduced to early numeracy and literacy skills, whilst focusing on child-led play at all times.

Our nursery is vibrant with colour and stimulation, and is an exciting place to learn!  And our dedicated staff team always ensure we achieve our aims with huge amounts of patience, understanding, genuine care and smiles!

Our Curriculum

We aim to create a positive learning environment that builds relationships to support, enhance and encourage children’s curiosity, confidence, independence and individual ability to develop. 

Our Allotment

Thanks to huge amount of support from our wonderful parents, we have a wonderful outdoor space where we can grow plants and spend time learning and playing outside! We LOVE our allotment! 

Healthy Eating

At our daily Snack Bar, children are encouraged to help themselves to a range of freshly prepared fruit and vegetables. Children that stay all day bring a packed lunch to eat with their friends and our staff team.

Funded Childcare

If your child is aged 9 months to 4 years old, you can get up to 30 hours of free childcare per week for 38 weeks of the year.  Click on the link below to find out what you can claim to help with your childcare costs.
