Meet our team

We are extremely proud of our wonderful team at Stepping Stones!  All members of staff are professional, enthusiastic, highly motivated, and absolutely love working with children.  Our primary aim is to foster an extremely caring, safe and fun environment for your child.  We pay special attention to maintaining high standards by holding regular team meetings and a range of training opportunities.

Sam Harvey

Business Manager

I’m Sam, a mum to three grown up children. I have now been at nursery for 19 years, manager for 18. I love the privilege of being part of the village nursery and watching so many children come to us as they start their education and seeing them grow and develop. I really enjoy sitting and chatting with the children at lunch time, we have some really lovely conversations during this time!

Stacy Black

Early Years Manager

I’m Stacy,  I love creating fun and exciting environments for children to explore and enjoy watching their individual learning journeys.  I particularly enjoy getting involved with messy play and craft activities and love to see the children’s creations!

Sally Feather

Early Years Practitioner

My name is Sally and I’ve been a part of the Stepping Stones team since 2020, in this time I have completed an apprenticeship becoming a qualified level 3 Early Years Practitioner. I enjoy going on walks with my dog, and baking. I bring my love of baking to Stepping Stones by baking with the children so they can take them home to share with their families!

Sarah Young

Early Years Practitioner

I’m Sarah, I live locally with my husband and two children. It was through having my own children that my passion and devotion for caring and working within Early Years began. I feel it is such a reward to be part of this stage of childhood, children thriving through play and growing happily within a safe environment.

Lois Sowerbutts

Early Years Practitioner

I’m Lois, a lot of people know me as Arlo’s mum! I have 2 young children and live locally. I have worked in childcare since I was 17 years old and it has always been my passion! I love being a part of the children’s journey and getting to watch them grow.

Jo Clark

Owner & Registered Person

I took over responsibility for Stepping Stones in 2004, when we moved to Cononley and were sad to see the village nursery up for sale.  It's been my absolute passion for 20 years.  Even though I have now taken a step back, I am still involved daily behind the scenes and feel hugely proud of our setting and our wonderful staff team!

"Staff at Stepping Stones are friendly and approachable. They have good relationships with both the children  and parents. The staff go above and beyond. We are extremely happy with the service they provide."
